The Spark of Innovation

With the growing demand for information security compliance, our co-founder and CEO, Mirek Pijanowski, was tasked with building a trusted compliance program for a global financial firm. Initially managing compliance to SOC 2 and ISO 27001 with manual processes and mega spreadsheets, Mirek soon realized the limitations — overwhelming, lacking cohesion, and far from scalable.

Driven by a passion for innovation, Mirek embarked on a mission to find an easy-to-use and scalable GRC solution. However, the landscape of dedicated GRC tools presented a frustrating obstacle. Confusing, labour-intensive, and financially unattainable for many teams, these overly complex tools hindered, rather than supported compliance efforts. Mirek needed a better way to streamline processes and achieve compliance excellence.

Undeterred by these challenges, Paul Guenette, CTO, teamed up with Mirek to take matters into their own hands.
